A Mankato man is facing three counts of stalking and two of violating an order for protection, after investigators say he made yet another attempt to harass a woman he was ordered not to contact.

Dwayne Irving is facing three counts of stalking and two of violating an order for protection

Mankato Police say the victim called 9-1-1 when 41-year-old Dwayne Irving showed up at her apartment complex last Friday; she has two domestic abuse no contact orders against him.

He wasn’t there when officers arrived, but about four hours later they got a call that he had returned. Again, he couldn’t be located. However, early the following morning he returned yet again and police found him sitting in the stairwell outside of the victim’s apartment.

The criminal complaint shows he began pounding on the woman’s door, and then made his way into a nearby furnace room. Police eventually had to pull him out of the utility space, and the criminal complaint shows that a search turned up a glass pipe in his pocket that tested positive for meth.

Court records show it’s Irving’s fifth arrest for violating a restraining order since last September, after an assault conviction in August.
