A 31-year-old man is expected to issued a summons to appear in court on three felony theft charges, after he was accused of stealing from his employer over more than six months last year.
Mankato Police say a regional director at the business’ corporate office discovered in July that David Soukthavong had been removing money from his till and others at the store, claiming that he was using the money to purchase supplies for work.
The criminal complaint shows he took the money in $100-to-$200 increments beginning in January, in some months almost daily. In June alone Soukthavong is accused of stealing $2,700.
The manager says he admitted to taking the money for personal use and that he was unable to repay it.
