A 53-year-old Mankato man is charged with two counts of possession of ammunition after being convicted of a violent crime, one drug possession charge, one count of possessing ammo while high, after he was arrested on a warrant.

The Mankato Department of Public Safety arrested Cedric Langston on the warrant that was issued in Nicollet County, after he was accused of stealing a bottle of tequila form a local liquor store, and investigators say the crime was caught on store surveillance cameras. In that case he is charged with theft, burglary, and trespassing.

The criminal complaint shows additional charges came after a search of Langston’s belongings after his arrest found part of a scale, a spoon that tested positive for crack, and a live round of .380 ammunition.

Langston is prohibited from possessing guns or ammo based on previous convictions, which court records show include burglary of a business, armed robbery, and manslaughter.
