The Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area gained 901 jobs year-over-year in April.
Greater Mankato Growth crunched the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that shows the MSA experienced a 1.6-percent growth last month. Officials say it continues a trend as the Mankato Metro has led the state each month in job growth this year. The area is also the only MSA to experience job growth in all sectors in April.
Manufacturing led the Mankato-North Mankato MSA with a growth of 2.2-percent year-over-year. The Public Sector gained 21 jobs and the Private Sector added 880 jobs in April.
