Mankato officials are looking for a dog that bit a woman and the dog she was walking Tuesday morning. It happened at about 9:00 a.m. near Bradley Street and Grace Court.

A bystander took this image of the dog police are looking for with a video camera, and although blurry, it’s the only photo available.

Police are asking for help in locating the dog’s owner to determine if it has its rabies vaccinations and they say the victim will need to begin rabies treatment if the dog is not located.

The dog is described as a bulldog type, tan with white on its back and no tail or collar. It’s unknown if the dog is male or female. The dog is likely to have eye irritation because it was sprayed with dog deterrent/mace.

Anyone with information about this dog is asked to contact Mankato’s animal control officer.
