The Mankato Area Public School Board will discuss the future of the school resource officer program Monday night. Superintendent Paul Peterson says the meeting will be the culmination of around six months of conversation.

“It’s something we’ve discussed all summer long, for obvious reasons,” said Peterson. “We’ve done our best to get as much input from our community as possible.”

Peterson says it’s been a long-standing partnership between the district and Mankato Public Safety. Monday night’s meeting will begin at five-30.
