“There are Pawlenty of reasons.”
Mankato DFL Representative Jack Considine, on the day that former Governor Tim Pawlenty officially launched a campaign to retake the state’s top seat, placed a big portion of the blame for the fact that 20-percent of state buildings and facilities are in some state of disrepair on his administration and the one before.
“It does go back to the Ventura-Pawlenty years, when we did not stay up with transportation, we did not stay up with our assets,” he said. “And now we’re trying to catch up.”
He added the state has also failed in recent years to keep its technology up to date, and points to the fact that one state department is still using a DOS-based system.
