A 27-year-old Mankato woman is charged with two counts of felony theft after Mankato Police say she stole more than $11,000 from her employer by failing to make bank deposits at the end of the work day for a week in November.

Investigators say the business uses a U.S. Bank program to record the amount of cash being dropped off at the bank, but the district manager told police that while Ashley Alexander put the amounts in the software program from November 1st through the 8th, the money was never deposited.

The criminal complaint shows that Alexander was identified on surveillance video and the manager says she was the only employee allowed to make deposits to US Bank.
