A Mankato woman who called emergency services because she wasn’t feeling well is now facing drug charges.

Mankato Police say 25-year-old Tanisha Schroeder was having abdominal pain and had to be taken to the hospital, and left her nine-month-old daughter in the care of officers. The criminal complaint shows she gave police permission the get the baby’s car seat out of her car, and in doing so the officer found a baggie on the floor of the car, which tested positive for cocaine.

That led to a search warrant for both Schroeder’s house and car and more cocaine and marijuana was found in the home. Investigators say the drugs were found about three feet away from the baby’s bottle and pacifier.
