A 24-year-old Brooklyn Park man is facing two stalking charges and two felony domestic violence counts, after Mankato Police say he chased his girlfriend around Mankato on Friday.

Investigators say the victim told them that she and Damone Rhodes live together, but she ended the relationship the night before and they continued to argue that morning.

She left, walking, with her four-year-old child when Rhodes began to spit on and yell at her, and the woman told police that he followed her.

The criminal complaint shows that she asked people she passed to call 911, but they refused because they didn’t want to get involved.

The woman dialed 911 but says Rhodes grabbed her phone and dropped it on the ground during the call.

He was eventually arrested nearby and court documents show Rhodes has at least two previous domestic violence-related offense convictions within the last 10 years.
