Amid growing demand for COVID vaccines and supply shortages, officials announced Monday there will be updates made to the state’s community vaccination efforts. State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says local officials are pressing the federal government for more guidance…

“And we will continue to do that anticipating news in coming days and weeks from the federal government on what we might expect from more vaccines in the pipeline and potentially more supply coming from the manufacturers of the ones that are currently approved.”

On Monday, the Minnesota Health Department announced updates for vaccinating people 65 and older and a mass vaccination event at Xcel Energy Center for metro educators.
