State officials say there’s some good news from Monday’s COVID-19 report.

“Last week, we were doubling total confirmed cases every eight days,” said Malcom. “Looking at (Monday’s) numbers we are now doubling every nine days.”

Minnesota Department of Health commissioner Jan Malcom says 64 percent of the state’s 11,799 cases have now recovered. She adds 472 of the state’s 591 deaths have occurred in long-term care facilities.
