(Carver County, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Health believes the coronavirus outbreak in Carver County could negatively impact the state’s progress. This comes after a two-week shutdown of youth sports was recommend in the area following a cluster of 140 linked cases, with some including infections of the contagious B.1.1.7. UK variant. Health leaders say they are worried about the contagious variants, so they will continue to push for mitigation efforts to avoid further spread. Though the outbreak is concerning, officials emphasize that we are turning the corner as the state has reached 40-thousand people being vaccinated daily.
