The work on Highway 14 between Mankato and North Mankato that is still expected to impact traffic this week has been pushed back by a day.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Rebecca Arndt said mechanical issues with equipment now means work to repair the shoulders will take place Wednesday and Thursday.

She said it includes, just a lane restriction. You’ll still be able to get through.” The Third Avenue and Riverfront Drive ramps will be closed one at a time sometime next week.

Arndt said on Highway 14, “Speeds are high and people are used to just flying over and these workers will be right next to the road, doing shoulder work, and I just advise extreme caution in our work areas.”

Other remaining work that does not impact traffic on the Highway 14 project includes installing a culvert between Victory Drive and Highway 22 and should be completed by early October.
