A Minneapolis man accused of stealing a vehicle in Shakopee and then leading police on a multi-county chase has been charged in Blue Earth County with running from police, a felony, and lesser charges of reckless driving, careless driving, and speeding.

The criminal complaint shows that Mankato Police were waiting for the stolen SUV near westbound Highway 14 when they saw the vehicle driven by 38-year-old Leroy Bradley blow past at high speeds near Victory Drive.

Prosecutors say Bradley was going at least 130 miles per hour when he passed vehicles on the shoulder on Highway 14. In Nicollet County, investigators say he forced several vehicles off the road on County Road 13.

Mankato police called off the chase after they say Bradley lost control on Highway 99 and almost hit a squad car. He was eventually arrested in Jackson County.

The chase spanned at least five counties and involved many law enforcement agencies, and Bradley is expected to be charged in several counties.
