Minnesotans will no longer have to wear face coverings in state court buildings starting THIS week. The Minnesota Judicial Branch is lifting the statewide mask order on Monday March 7th. Supreme Court Chief Justice Lori Gildea (GILL’-day) says in light of declining COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the state and with new C-D-C guidance, they are lifting the requirement. Anyone who wants to wear a mask may continue to do so and the court will provide one. Hennepin County also announced today (Friday) that masks will no longer be required in most buildings on Monday. Face coverings are recommended for those who are unvaccinated or at high risk for COVID.
