The recent spike in natural gas prices is adding stress on Minnesota families trying to make ends meet during a pandemic. U.S. Senator Tina Smith gives one example:

“In Hibbing, Minnesota is one example, they were typically paying four dollars per unit for natural gas and the price went up to 260 dollars a unit literally overnight, which is a huge bite out of their budget.”

Senator Smith says the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has launched an investigation into this issue.
