(St. Paul, MN) — First hearing in the House this morning (Thursday 10:30am) on a bill to put abortion rights into Minnesota law, which backers say is extra insurance after the U-S Supreme Court struck down Roe -v- Wade. House Speaker Melissa Hortman says “Minnesotans have been loud and clear that they want legal protection for their reproductive freedom and their bodily autonomy.” M-C-C-L’s Cathy Blaeser calls it an extreme agenda and says it “allows abortion up to the very moment of birth.”
