The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is looking into the contamination of two private water wells in the Twin Cities. The agency says dozens of private wells in Andover’s Red Oaks neighborhood tested positive for dioxane over the summer. Over a dozen private wells that were recently tested in Gem Lake also had health risks. Pollution Control is looking into what’s causing the problems and how to fix them.
