The Russian-Ukraine war has pushed gas prices to over four dollars a gallon in some parts of the U.S. So just how much oil comes from Russia? Meredith Mitts is with Triple-A Minnesota.
“The United States generally speaking relies on about 10-percent of our entire crude oil coming from Russia. So it’s not a small, small amount but it’s also not a major enough amount that we are worried that we are going to see major shortages at any of our pumps.”
Mitts says the spike in gas prices continues to climb globally because of the conflict happening in Russia and Ukraine along with higher consumer demand.
