Minnesota Farm Bureau President, Kevin Paap recently testified before the House Ways and Means subcommittee on trade.

He said ag exports are critical economic drivers and, “We cannot afford to lose our place at the table. As a leader in the global marketplace, we need to be at the table. If we are not at the table — we will be on the menu.”

Paap believes many farmers will go out of business if the trade war continues and said, “It is critical that we limit trade disruptions and resolve trade disputes through negotiations, not tariffs. And not withdrawals from other trade agreement discussions. Once you lose a market it is really tough to get it back.”
