(St. Paul, MN) — State Rep. John Thompson has been expelled from the caucus following a Tuesday night vote by the Minnesota House DFL. This comes amid a string of controversies surrounding the Representative including domestic assault allegations and a traffic confrontation with police. Thompson was also sentenced to a small fine and probation in July for obstruction of police in 2019. Several top Democratic leaders had called for his resignation.
