The COVID vaccine is now available for 5- to 11-year-olds. Chair of pediatrics at Park Nicollet Dr. Andrea Singh want parents who have concerns to know:

“Having questions is very appropriate I would encourage people to seek out their pediatrician, their family medicine doctor their local pharmacist or another trusted healthcare professional to really talk through what their worries are.”

The state has launched a new webpage–mn.gov/vaxforkids–to help parents and guardians find vaccines for 5- to 11-year-olds and answer any questions. There are over 500,000 children across Minnesota that are now eligible for the vaccine and 94-percent of Minnesota’s population is now eligible to be vaccinated.
