Traffic is stop and go on Highway 30, east of Blue Earth County Road 14 as flood waters approach one lane of the two-lane highway.

MnDOT reports that crews installed temporary stoplights on Thursday to guide motorists through the area. The restrictions will remain in place until the water subsides.

Officials say the flooding appears to be caused by backwaters from the Cobb River ponding on the south side of Highway 30, four miles north of Minnesota Lake.
