MnDOT will hold an open house next month to update residents and businesses on the New Ulm Gateway project.
Construction on Highway 14 and Highway 15 from Broadway to Nicollet County Road 21 is expected to start in early April. Preliminary winter work continues on the project including clearing trees and brush and preparatory work for the bridge over the Minnesota River in New Ulm.
In 2019, MnDOT will replace the Minnesota River Bridge and build a new interchange at the intersection of Highway 14/15/CR21.
When the project is complete, two deficient bridges will be replaced along with new pavement and aesthetic improvements.
The event is planned for February 8 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the New Ulm Community Center.
