More Minnesotans are getting their flu shot this year. Minnesota Department of Health infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann says what they are seeing is a good first step in keeping yourself healthy overall.

“The latest figures show a 42 percent increase in the number of Minnesotans getting their flu vaccine at this point in the season compared to last year.”

For the 2019 flu season, the C-D-C reported the flu vaccine was a combined 45% effective against influenza A and B.
