The Mankato Moondogs home opener is on Tuesday

New Moondogs General Manager Austin Link said many of the team’s new players are in the midst of their college conference tournaments so, “As far as how many guys we’ll have, we’ll find out Tuesday night but we’ve got a pretty good squad and we’re ready to roll.”

Link said there are three players coming in from Minnesota State University – Mankato. “We’ve got Ricky Digrugilliers coming back – obviously he’s great in the community, great with the kids, we’re really looking forward to having him. Nick Belzer is coming back as well. From what I’ve been talking to with the coach he might be our opening day starter so I have a hometown kid going to kick this thing off – that’s going to be super cool. And then out third one coming in is Jon Ludwig. So we’ve got three MSU kids that can just walk on over to the ballpark this year.”

The Moondogs open the season at home on Tuesday against the Duluth Huskies. Gates open at 6:05, first Pitch is at 7:05.
