A Minnesota State University-Mankato student is awaiting extradition to Tennessee, accused of stabbing his estranged father to death.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 50-year-old Timothy Jordi was found dead in his home in Sparta on Thursday, after he failed to show up for work. Investigators say he was stabbed several times.
The criminal complaint shows that 21-year-old Joshua Jordi was not at school or his mother’s home at the time of the murder, and a search of his room at Crawford Residence Hall at MSU found a notebook with a diagram of his father’s home.
The notebook also contained a list of items that included latex gloves, plastic bags and a change of clothing and shoes.
