A 39-year-old Mankato man is facing two stalking-related charges and one count of disorderly conduct after threatening in February to slow cook a neighbor’s dog.

Mankato Police say Jason Hubbard approached the victim in her driveway, telling her to stop letting her dog poop in his yard. She explained that she doesn’t walk the dog, but instead lets it out in her fenced backyard. That’s when he made the threat ti kill and cook the pet.

Hubbard told police that he never threatened to kill the dog, and was referring to the dog feces when he said he’d, “Put it in a crock pot.”

The criminal complaint shows the victim had previously filed a police report that claimed Hubbard’s girlfriend had trespassed on her property.
