(New Prague, MN) — The superintendent of New Prague’s school district says allegations that its fans engaged in racist taunts at a girls basketball game against Robbinsdale Cooper High Schools are unsubstantiated. Superintendent Tim Dittberner announced the results yesterday of an independent investigation commissioned by the district into the circumstances in the stands at the February 15th game. Dittberner says interviews with students, parents, and additional staff members and a review of the game video showed no conclusive evidence that anyone in the crowd made money noises at Robbinsdale Cooper players. Robbinsdale school district superintendent David Engstrom criticized the investigation and maintained that his teams would not play against New Prague “for the foreseeable future.”
