A recent report from the American Medical Association shows the pandemic caused routine childhood immunization rates to drop significantly last year. HealthPartners researcher Malini DeSilva says that’s of particular concern because…

“Herd immunity depends on high coverage rates for vaccines and these routine childhood vaccinations to continue to provide that good level of coverage.”

DeSilva says that since last year, immunizations rates have rebounded slightly, but she’s urging parents to keep their kids up-to-date on shots–especially with flu season about to be in full swing.
