The City of New Ulm’s staff has been closely monitoring current flooding and future river cresting levels and Dave Borchert, Emergency Management Director, says they have carefully considered flooding impacts that may negatively affect residents.

With the information available at this time, Borchert says the impacts are considered minimal.

There will be some inconveniences associated with traffic detours, however, he says the flooding is not predicted to significantly affect public infrastructure, businesses or private homes.
