Just in time for one of the most popular boating weekends of the year, the “no wake” restriction will be lifted Saturday on lakes in Le Sueur County.

Sheriff Brett Mason said although water levels are still higher than normal, they have started to recede. He’s asking boaters use idle speeds, and certainly nothing over 5 miles per hour within t00 feet of shorelines, docks, or boat lifts.

He’s warning, too, that there is a lot of debris in the water and some submerged docks so boaters should navigate waters cautiously.
