North Mankato has signed off on a 3-percent raise for City Administrator John Harrenstein.
Harrenstein tells KTOE News that it’s gratifying to continue to serve the community and work with the council to achieve its strategic objectives.
“Last year we had a lot of good accomplishments. Specifically, adding property out in the industrial park and locating Blue Star Power Systems as well as Palmer Bus Services to the park. As far as the work in the community. Moving through projects even though we had a false start with the bidding process on swim facility, getting that back on track. Then just some bread and butter projects like Jefferson Avenue reconstruction. It was a good year.”
Harrenstein’s yearly salary will jump to $128,076.
