A North Mankato man was arrested after chatting online with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl but turned out to be an agent with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Officials say 31-year-old David Braga was told that the person responding was a young teen, but still asked her to sneak out of the house, offered to perform a sex act in his car, sent a photo of his genitals, and also a photo of a condom.

The criminal complaint shows Braga was arrested in Mankato when he showed up at the location where he intended to meet the victim.

Court records show that Braga is a registered sex offender in the State of Ohio and his criminal history includes felony convictions for sending harmful materials to juveniles and trying to get an underage person to engage in sexual activity.
