A 48-year-old North Mankato man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Highway 169 by Webster Avenue in North Mankato. According to the State Patrol, the driver of the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Highway 169 when it lost control and left the roadway near Webster Avenue. The crash happened around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. The State Patrol identified him as Kent Johnston. The Patrol says he was not wearing a helmet. It is unknown if alcohol was involved. North Mankato Police, Blue Earth County Sheriff, Mankato Public Safety, and Mayo Ambulance all responded to the scene.
