Still trying to pay off your winter heating bills? If yes, keep in mind it’s not too late to apply for energy assistance through the LIHEAP program(Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program). John Harvanko is with the state Department of Commerce:

“The average grant each year is about 525 dollars. But it ranges from 200 dollars to 14-hundred dollars depending on the need of the individual household.”

Harvanko says Minnesotans have until May 31st to apply for energy assistance.
