The state Health Department says it’s getting calls from Minnesotans who planned to vote in person next Tuesday but can’t because they’re in quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19. Spokeswoman Kris Ehresmann has advice:

“If you go to our website, it will link you to the Secretary of State’s site, and there is some information about special situations in which you could ask an agent to pick up and return an absentee ballot for you.”

Ehresmann says there are extensive safe voting guidelines on the Health Department’s website.   She notes election officials have been working hard to keep things as safe as possible at voting locations across Minnesota.
