One thing that the COVID-19 economic downturn isn’t slowing down is infrastructure projects.
“That’s our economic stimulus package in the face of the pandemic,” said North Mankato Mayor Mark Dehen. “We have a million dollars worth of road construction going on this year. We committed to double our infrastructure projects this year even prior to COVID.”
Dehen says a 70 room Comfort Inn is going up on Commerce Drive and property on Countryside Drive has recently been annexed for 120 housing lots. He says despite the economic challenges, there is still activity in the community.
