An FFA member from northwest Minnesota who wants a career in farming is not deterred by the current ag economy. Daniel Jossund of the Ada-Borup FFA Chapter says he’s always wanted to farm:

“My proficiency is actually on crop farming. I rent some land from my grandmother, and I’ve got a baler and stack-liner to do quarter small square straw bales. It’s a lot of work, but agriculture and farming is what I’m passionate about and I hope to do it the rest of my life.”

Jossund acknowledges these are tough economic times for farmers, but Jossund is hopeful commodity prices will turn around.
