Over two million Minnesota birds have now been affected by avian flu since March. The state Board of Animal Health says that the virus was confirmed Tuesday in six additional commercial meat turkey operations. New confirmations were announced yesterday in Kandiyohi, Meeker, Otter Tail, and Swift counties, plus two more in Morrison County. The numbers include an eighth infection site in Kandiyohi County and an eighth and ninth site in Morrison County. Flock sizes ranged from ten-thousand to 53-thousand. The total infection sites in Minnesota now stands at 46.
