(Duluth, MN)  —  The parents of the victim in an assault after a Proctor High School football practice are suing the school district and the former football coaches and superintendent.  The student’s parents filed a suit in federal court Friday alleging civil rights violations related to sexual discrimination.  The attack led to the cancellation of the football season and the resignation of the head coach.  An 18-year-old former student and football player received probation for assaulting the victim and has to register as a predatory offender for the next ten years.
