(Minneapolis, MN) — Crowds are remembering the life and legacy of George Floyd at the intersection where he died. Last night, hours after ex-cop Derek Chauvin was found guilty of killing Floyd, folks gathered together in the aptly named George Floyd Square in Minneapolis. They left flowers and lit candles in the square to memorialize Floyd, who died after Chauvin kneeled on his neck for over nine minutes last May. After being convicted of murder and manslaughter charges, Chauvin could spend decades behind bars.
