A 30-year-old Sleepy Eye man is facing two counts of drunk driving and one charge of leaving the scene of a crash, and Mankato Police say his blood-alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit.
Investigators say Justin Sellner rear-ended a car at the intersection of Victory and St. Andrews Drives Saturday night and then drove off. The victim followed his car to the Home Depot parking lot and called 911.
Sellner claimed he thought the vehicle behind him was about to hit his car and he failed to stop because he was focused on that situation, and said he left the scene because he was scared.
The criminal complaint shows Sellner failed field sobriety tests and blew a .324 on a portable breath test. Because of the high level of intoxication, officials say he was taken to detox.
