Ramsey County prosecutors have determined there was *not* criminal wrongdoing by any participant in the January 6th “Storm the Capitol” rally in Saint Paul.

Reported threats against Governor Tim Walz and his family resulted in, he said, the State Patrol whisking his 14-year-old son out of the residence as a safety precaution.   But the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says no actions or speech by protesters rose to the level of criminal activity. Minnesota House Speaker, Democrat Melissa Hortman says despite that, “false, misleading and hateful speech… creates an environment of fear and division.” Hortman says, with the start of a new presidency and calls for healing, she’s asking Minnesotans to be mindful of their words and actions and to work to unify rather than divide.
