A Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office investigation into a sexual assault a rural area of the county has ended with the arrest of a 55-year-old man from rural St. Peter.

Investigator Mark Chadderdon says Michael Osborne’s female tenant told police that her landlord had sexually assaulted her, and during the investigation, they learned that another woman living in a different apartment said she had also been touched inappropriately.

Osborne is charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct and one of agreeing to hire a prostitute. He’ll be in court July 24th.

A check of Osborne’s previous convictions shows only traffic violations.
