A new pilot program designed by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) will help adult students who started, but did not finish, a college education.

The program is offering $1 million in scholarships for such students attending South Central College and three other community colleges.

About 500 students completing a certificate, diploma, or associate degree will each receive a scholarship of up to $3,000 over the four-year pilot program, and they will receive campus-level staff support and other assistance for overcoming barriers to completion.

Scholarships will be available for Fall Semester 2018 to qualified students who have attended one of the four participating colleges but have not completed a certificate or degree.
