A Republican state Representative has brought Articles of Impeachment against Governor Tim Walz. Rep. Erik Mortensen, of Shakopee, says that the governor has shown no interest in “upholding” the state and U.S. Constitution. The five articles accuse Walz of not heeding separation of powers, making violation penalties for his executive orders without legislative approval, banning free exercise of religion, taking private property, and banning nearly all non-emergency medicine. A spokesperson for the Governor says these same arguments have already been shot down by court judges.
