Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon is urging eligible Minnesota voters to apply for their absentee ballots now for the upcoming August primary and November general election. He says amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s a public health issue…

“My concern is around driving down the numbers of people who vote in polling places. We’re still going to have polling places and still going to have places to go on election day to vote in person, but we want them to be significantly less crowded.”

Simon says to apply for an absentee ballot, simply go to mnvotes.org or call your local city or county hall.
