The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says there has been another bear sighting in south-central Minnesota.

The black bear was seen north of Sleepy Eye on Tuesday. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the DNR have both been notified.

Sleepy Eye Police say there’s no cause for alarm but is warning people not to approach the bear if they come across it.

A black bear was also seen earlier this month in Le Sueur County, near Lake Dora.

The DNR has issued a bear tracking map, and officials say it shows that the black bear range has been slowly expanding to the south and west in Minnesota.
